Liverpool needed a jersey that could live up to their prestigious history. Many of the cups and titles that Liverpool has achieved (especially in the 70's and 80's) were won wearing jacquards (a fancy name for woven-in design) and prints. Liverpool's new jersey features both. It's a jersey worthy of the most awe-inspiring club history in all of English soccer.

The crest has also been freshened up in tribute to the 1989 Hillsborough disaster.
